In the final CIF-SS Division I Boys Soccer Poll of the regular season, Loyola (23-1-2 overall) kept a hold on its No. 1 ranking in the Southern Section according to the list released on Saturday (Feb. 2).
It marks the seventh straight week (dating back to Dec. 10) that the Cubs have held the top spot in the CIF-SS Poll. They have been ranked No. 1 in seven of the eight weekly polls this season. On a national scale, Loyola remains No. 2 in the USA Today Super 25 Rankings and moves up one spot to No. 5 in the TopDrawerSoccer rankings.

The Cubs bring an eight-match winning streak into the CIF Division I Playoffs later this week. After earning a first round bye, Loyola will host the second round against the winner of El Dorado and Valencia HS (Placentia) on Saturday (Feb. 9) at 5:00 p.m. on Smith Field.
