Loyola alum David Long ’16 was drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft on Friday evening (Apr. 26), selected as the No. 79 overall pick by the Los Angeles Rams.
It will be a homecoming for the Pasadena, Calif., native, who attended the University of Michigan and was an All-Big Ten First Team honoree for the Wolverines. Now, Long’s future home in the Los Angeles Coliseum will be a mere three miles away from the Loyola campus.

The NFC Champion Rams are coming off of a Super Bowl LIII appearance earlier this year in just their third season back in Southern California. The rookie CB Long will look to crack the final Rams roster for the upcoming 2019 season.
