The Varsity Baseball team (8-1 overall) comes in at No. 4 in the second CIF-SS Division II Baseball Poll of the season, released Monday (Mar. 11) by the CIF-SS Advisory Committee.

After dropping their first game of the year, 6-4, on the road to St. Francis last Thursday (Mar. 7), the Cubs would take the series over the Golden Knights the next day with a 6-1 victory at Hernandez Field.

Up next for Loyola is another three-game Mission League series, this time with the Crespi Celts. Game 1 is set for this Tuesday (Mar. 12) at 3:30 p.m. at home, followed by Game 2 in Encino on Wednesday (Mar. 13) at 3:30 p.m. The final game will take place at home on Friday (Mar. 15) at 3:30 p.m. The first game can be live streamed here: bit.ly/2TJDIGF
