The Loyola Tennis program, led by 11th-year coach Brian Held ’93 and JV head coach Kelly Farland, opens its 2019 season with competition against Beverly Hills HS on Thursday (Feb. 21).
The Varsity team will host the Normans at Cheviot Hills Tennis Center, while the JV squad travels over to the campus of Beverly Hills for their first action of the new year. Both matches are set for 2:00 p.m. start times.
A week later, both levels of Cub Tennis have matches against Windward (Wednesday, Feb. 27) and Brentwood School (Thursday, Feb. 28), with Varsity hosting the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday and JV hosting the Eagles in their first home match at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Loyola will then have its annual Alumni Day at Cheviot Hills Tennis Center at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (Mar. 2). Last season, the Cubs made it to the CIF Playoffs for the 25th straight year.
